A Hiro’s Prologue is a personal story of return that examines how memory, place, and perception interact as I navigate returning to Dayton, Ohio after living abroad for six years. I investigate this transition by using film photography to document transformed neighborhoods and examine shifting identities and relationships with loved ones, treating the act of photographing them as a dialogue between memory and the present.
