Reimagining the body through collaboration, care, and disruption

This ongoing collaboration uses body painting and photography to create a space where the body can where the body can exist without expectation. Through trust, dialogue, and experimentation, the work gently disrupts fixed ideas of beauty while prioritizing care and agency. Each image emerges from a shared process that allows vulnerability, strength, and transformation to coexist.

Our Story

We first met during my Black Gold project, where we developed a collaborative piece that premiered at a Tokyo exhibition and live event. Years later, that same work was exhibited at the Oglethorpe University Museum of Art, marking the beginning of an evolving artistic collaboration and a lasting bond of friendship. Since then, we have continued to work together across multiple projects, including collaborations with Fujifilm, and received an award from TELL Japan for our work 解放 (Liberation), affirming the shared values and trust at the core of our collaboration.
